MAVPITCH ENTREPRENEUR COMPETITION WINNER

The College of Business, The University of Texas at Arlington
This entrepreneurial competition places capital funds into students' hands through a rigorous process of pitches. My partner and I were able to win the first part of the competition with a housing typology business in the Fall of 2021. In the Spring of 2022, we won with a second idea of a CLT factory based in DFW. With these wins, we were able to work closely with business developers in Ft. Worth over the summer to continue building our ideas into businesses. At the end of the summer, we competed with both business ideas in the second round and won capital funds for both ventures.

PROJECTS

JOPPEE / JOPPA
I have had the opportunity to work very closely with UTA Architecture professors and with Joppee, a community in Dallas, on a historic building and site. There is an opportunity to establish a community center. I had the opportunity to provide research and site measurements along with models for the project while in school.

Since my graduation, the project has moved forward through the Citizen HKS program.

HIP POCKET THEATRE
This is a theatre in Ft. Worth that invited UTA students to participate in a Land Art Collaboration Exhibit. I had the chance to create a sculpture using found and salvaged materials as a part of the exhibit.
